1. RTMS Introduction

RTMS is a South African National Standard that prescribes requirements for transport operators, consignors & consignees – SANS 1395-1:2019

The SABS as the National Standards Body is the custodian of the RTMS standard and have been instrumental in ensuring that the standard has been written in keeping with international norms for standards. The specific SABS committee responsible for the RTMS standard is SABS TC 241 (Transport Management Systems) and is also responsible for SANS 39001:2012 Road Traffic Safety Management Systems (RTSMS).
